What we do.

We prevent evictions.

Our case managers work one-on-one with residents that fall behind on rental payments and connect them with rental assistance, utility bill assistance, food assistance, employment opportunities, unemployment income, low cost child-care, and low cost transportation. For households that we are able to successfully stabilize, we pay off their past due rent balances with charitable contributions.

Eviction prevention case management services can be provided as a stand-alone service or rolled into a package with on-site supportive services that satisfy the supportive services requirements of a Land Use Restriction Agreement (LURA).

Enhanced on-site services.

In addition to eviction prevention services, we provide meaningful on-site supportive services that meet the requirements of a LURA and enchance a multifamily community and the lives of its residents. It is common for routine community events to become stale and lose attendance over time. We work to consistently provide new community events and classes and work with other local nonprofits to bring their expertise to our properties. We even leverage the skills of a community's residents to enhance the relevance of the services provided. Is there a musician residing at the property? We'll find out, connect with them, and organize a community concert. We put in the work to learn about the residents, what they value, and build services around each unique community.

We offer owners competitive pricing for our on-site supportive services and when packaged with our case eviction prevention case management services we offer value that decreases the owner's total cost.

Value Proposition.

According to Transunion, the credit monitoring firm, the total cost of a single eviction averages $3,500, including lost rent, staff time, legal costs, unit damages, and lost time. The fact is, many evictions can be prevented through time, energy, and expertise that your on-site management may not have. By working one-on-one with households we can return those at-risk of eviction to stabilty, and when we do, we'll pay back rent to ensure that the risk of eviction is resolved and the owner is whole. The solution is cost effective for owners and prevents the deleterious long-term effects of eviction for struggling households.
